This region includes the majority of amino acid residues known to differ between egg-grown and MDCK cell-grown H3N2 viruses." - This is misleading because you can only search/search for nucleotides with a PCR and not proteins, which are basically assembled by linking many different amino acid residues together through a peptide form formed between the two residues - and nucleotides are not proteins - nucleotides are basically made up of a ribose/deoxyribose sugar, a phosphate group and a base, i.e. cytosine, adenosine, thymine, uracil, guanine. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) consists of nucleotides - DNA after transcription forms RNA and in RNA, thymine is replaced by uracil. This is the so-called CENTRAL DOGMA OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY :-) - about the "Eskimo Lady"... one would have to know the exact "freezing temperature" and the exact "thawing temperature" with the respective duration in order to be able to make any assumptions at all here... I don't know the story of the Lady of the Ice, but I can offer you this
